General Biography
Charlie is a native of Columbia, South Carolina.  He received his Bachelor of Science in 1992 from the University of South Carolina, where he majored in finance and organizational management.  Charlie was a commercial lender for three years with Branch Banking and Trust Company in North Carolina and South Carolina before he returned to the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996.  He graduated with the degree of Juris Doctorate in 1999.  While in law school, he received the CALI Award (formerly American Jurisprudence Award) for legal writing and legal research, and he was a member of the student editorial staff of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal.
