General Biography
Thomas Kennaday is Special Counsel to the firm and resident
in the Columbia office. He practices in the area of
litigation with a focus on product liability and business
litigation. His practice also includes the defense of
automotive and truck products as well as class action suits.
Mr. Kennaday is admitted to practice before the 4th U.S. Circuit
Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the
District of South Carolina.
Mr. Kennaday is a member of the American Bar Association,
the Defense Research Institute, and the South Carolina
Defense Trial Attorneys' Association.
In 1999, after enrollment in a joint degree program, Mr.
Kennaday earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the
University of South Carolina School of Law and a Master of
International Business Studies from the Moore School of
Business at the University of South Carolina. While in law
school, he was a member of the South Carolina Law
Review and the Moot Court Bar, and he was inducted into
the Order of the Coif. Mr. Kennaday earned a Bachelor
of Arts in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from
the University of California at Berkeley in 1990.
