General Biography
Sonny is a Florence, SC native who attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY.  Upon graduation in 1988, he served as an active duty Army officer and deployed to Saudi Arabia and Iraq in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  After leaving active military duty, Sonny pursued private business for two years and then enrolled in the University of South Carolina School of Law.  Following law school graduation in 1997, Sonny joined Turner Padget’s Florence office, where he has been since that time.  He is shareholder and presently serves as the local practice group manager for the Insurance Industry Team.  He maintains an active litigation practice and advises numerous property & casualty carriers on legal issues.  Sonny continues to serve in the Army Reserves as a JAG officer with the 12th Legal Support Organization at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
